Quick start · mine in five minutes

Get an address. Install the wallet CLI (xPay is a demo of the same wallet) and generate a seed; your receive address starts with xpa1r. Back the seed up offline.
Mine with MMM on your Mac: get it from github.com/SystemThreat/MMM, open Setup, and enter network Mainnet, explorer https://superknet.com, pool pool.xcoinminer.com port 3335, any worker name, password blank, and your xpa1r address. Press Start Mining.
No Mac at hand? Try it in your browser: open xcoinminer.com, paste the address, press start. It mines the same pool, slowly.
Coinbase rewards mature after 1,000 blocks, about 3.5 days. The explorer at superknet.com shows live mainnet figures, from genesis on September 26, 2026, 00:00 UTC.

Quick start · run a node

Build the node from the code (CMake; the binaries are nexd and nex-cli in build/bin/). Mainnet has been live since genesis on September 26, 2026, 00:00 UTC: run nexd with no network flag and it joins mainnet on P2P port 9333, with every peer connection encrypted by hybrid post-quantum key exchange (ML-KEM-768, XIP-4) from block 0. Five DNS seed hostnames are named in the code and their records are live (each resolves to every fleet node), so a fresh node finds the network on its own; -addnode is optional. Live nodes are listed at superknet.com. Testnet A (-testnet) is retired (ledger archived at height 3,555).

Glossary

XID (Ӿ), the ticker. 1 XID = 100,000,000 sat; the cap is 100,000,000 XID.
MetalDAG, the memory-hard proof-of-work (4 GiB dataset at launch, +128 MiB per 14-day epoch).
ML-DSA-65, the FIPS 204 lattice signature that authorizes a spend. SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s (FIPS 205) is equally valid at consensus and serves as the fallback leaf.
xpa1r…, a bech32m witness-v3 address committing to a post-quantum spend tree.
XIP / XCIP, an improvement proposal; the C marks consensus-critical.
