xCoin runs MetalDAG proof-of-work with post-quantum-only spends. A pool, an explorer, and a miner for the Mac you already own. Mainnet genesis was mined September 26, 2026 at 00:00:00 UTC. Run a node

Mainnet is running: P2P on port 9333, and every connection is encrypted with hybrid post-quantum key exchange (ML-KEM-768 on BIP324, XIP-4) from block 0. Five DNS seed hostnames are named in the code (seed.xcoinproject.com, seed.superknet.com, seed.xcoinminer.com, seed.minedifferent.com, seed.movepunk.com); their DNS records are still to be created, so no seed is deployed yet and no peer address is published. Until the seeds are up, add peers with -addnode / -connect; live nodes are listed at superknet.com. Testnet A is retired.

Compatible hardware

  • MacApple Silicon, 16 GB or moreM1 through M4. The 4 GiB launch DAG is the 16 GB Mac floor; 8 GB machines cannot hold the working set. NerdMiner mines it on the Mac.

  • PhoneiPhone + Apple WatchNerdMiner's iOS app starts and stops a Mac rig over the LAN and the watch app shows the explorer on your wrist. They control mining; they do not mine.
  • ASICMemory-hard, nothing more claimedThe code calls MetalDAG memory-hard and Apple-Silicon-favoring and makes no ASIC claim beyond that. The DAG grows 128 MiB per 14-day epoch, so the working set drifts past GPU memory tiers over time while unified memory keeps a Mac efficient.
